about

For our second live show ever (Winter Solstice 2017 at Banks Street Bar), we wrote this song to introduce ourselves to the audience and to set the tone for the rest of our set. As a bonus it functioned as a quick soundcheck. All of our live shows in the future will begin with this song, but the lyrics will change to represent the reason we're performing. Here the lyrics introduce our first album: Lamentations.

lyrics

HALF PAGAN THEME

I’m a Pagan, I worship the earth.
And me I believe in the virgin birth,
I like to meditate under a tree,
And I’m a professor of Theology

So some simple math will help you understand
There are two people in this band,
One’s not Pagan, though the other one is,
And we often argue about Jesus (Dionysus)

It's our first album, a litany of lamentations
But here in New Orleans even funerals are celebrations

Half Pagan, Half Pagan, Half Pagan
In Mid-City New Orleans

Half Pagan New Orleans, Louisiana

We're a rock band based in Bulbancha. You might call it New Orleans. Sometimes we do songs about cemetery picnics or the mythology of ancient Babylon. We're Half Pagan.
