Dido Fell Hard Twas long ago, arma virumque cano Troy was on fire, he put his father, on his back, he held on To his son, this child of Venus, Pious Aeneas They sailed the Mediterranean, fated for Rome And blown to Africa Dido was the queen of Carthage, widowed by brother Pygmalion She left Tyre and cut up an oxhide, formed a civilization Venus told Aeneas to go to the palace, to meet this Carthaginian queen Cupid flew to pierce his arrow, the heart of Dido burst in flames Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas, a longing heart, love in her eyes She listened closely to his Trojan stories, on a rainy day they shared a cave Embraced in passion, and as was the fashion, Dido deduced they were betrothed But Aeneas believed he had to leave, and he set sail without saying farewell Aeneas broke the heart of Dido, she collected all, the mementos Of his betrayal, and she piled them up, set them on fire, climbed the pyre, Dido she fell on the sword of Aeneas Dido she fell on the sword of Aeneas, Ohhhhh Dido Sailing to Rome, pious Aeneas, saw Dido’s death in a funeral pyre, From the flames of Troy to the flames of Carthage, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned In the end, Dido was a pawn, of the gods upset, about a beauty contest And in the end, it’s probably best, if you fall for love to stay independent Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas, and after everything that she went through, Believing she couldn’t live without her lover, all the pain, heartache, and betrayal, When Tennyson says ’tis better to have, loved and lost, than never to have Loved at all. I think he’s wrong, I think about the fate of poor Dido And Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas And Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas And Dido she fell on the sword of Aeneas And Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas Ohhhhhhh Dido And Dido fell hard for her lover Aeneas

He Stopped Loving Beer Today Set to music of George Jones “He Stopped Loving Her Today” He said I’ll love you till I die Beer told him you’ll forget in time I watched the years pass slowly by Beer still preyed upon his mind He kept a cold one by his wall Got half drunk now and then But he still loved beer through it all Hoping he’d never run out again They found some Dixies by his bed Dated 1992 He had written out in red Damnit beer I love you Went to drink beer with my friend today Oh but I didn’t see no tears All dressed up to go away First time I’d seen him without a beer He stopped loving beer today Friends poured 40 ouncers on the ground Soon they’ll carry him away He stopped loving beer today Spoken You know beer came to see him one last time Oh, we all wondered if beer would And it kept running through my mind Well, this time he’s over beer for good He stopped loving beer today They placed some beers inside his door And soon they’ll carry him away He stopped loving beer today

Bulbancha There were people in New Orleans when Bienville came exploring his tattooed torso filled with snakes He asked them what they called this place Bulbancha was the name for here ignored by the Reconnoitrers But the French renamed everything from Baton Rouge to Pontchartrain Forget the Colonial Europeans the Choctaw name is what I’m feelin’ Forget the Colonial Europeans the Choctaw name is what I’m feelin’ Bulbancha, the land of many tongues. Bulbancha, a better name than Orléans Bulbancha, on the shores of Okwata Bulbancha, Bul- Ban- Cha There were buffalo in New Orleans When Iberville came exploring They saw three buffalo lying there in what became Jackson Square Come on Bulbanchians it’s time for action take down that statue of Andrew Jackson Instead of him let’s memorialize the Chitimacha who lived and died here Forget the Colonial Europeans the Choctaw name is what I’m feelin’ Forget the Colonial Europeans the Choctaw name is what I’m feelin’ on the bayou’s banks with buffalo I want to see a buffalo in Bulbancha Bulbancha, the land of many tongues Bulbancha, a better name than Orléans Bulbancha, on the shores of Okwata Bulbancha, Bul-Ban-Cha Bulbancha, where the buffalo called their home Bulbancha, where Chitimacha called their home Bulbancha, on the shores of Okwata Bulbancha, Bul-Ban-Cha Bulbancha, Let’s go retro for our metro

Halfway to Nowhere Well I don’t know where we’re headed but it sure don’t look too good Everything’s out of whack, we’re not living the way we should Hellbent on destruction of every living thing It’s a battle between life and death and guess which side is winning And we’re... CHORUS: Halfway to nowhere, halfway to nothing at all Halfway to nowhere, waiting for the curtain to fall Halfway to nowhere, half dead and half asleep Halfway over the edge, ready for to take that leap Since 1974 the World Wildlife Fund for Nature Has been keeping careful track of the animal population But what they have found, it’s alarming to say the least A 50% decline in the numbers of bird and beast So we’re... REPEAT CHORUS Can we pull it back now from the edge of the abyss? I’m not afraid of darkness but I’m terrified of ignorance And pray what shall we do with the time that we got left? We’re just chilling and watching Netflix, amusing ourselves to death Cuz we’re... REPEAT CHORUS

HOMERIC HYMN TO GAIA To Gaia, the mother of all, I sing. Primeval Oldest Creation She nourishes everything on earth, all that go on land, and all that swim through the sea, and all that fly, These are all nourished from your bliss. Through you, O queen, humans are blessed both with children and harvests. You have the power to give life to humans, as well as to take life away. Blessed are those whom you delight to honor They possess everything in abundance. Life bearing fields providing crops, Pastures filled with livestock. Houses full of goodness. Men look after cities with beautiful ladies Much happiness and riches follow. Their budding sons spread cheer, their daughters play and dance down towards soft grass. Such is it for those you honor. Revered goddess, unrivaled deity, Rejoice O mother of the gods. Wife of twinkling Uranos, for this song, provide me with a cheerful heart. And now I will honor your memory with another song... CHILDREN OF GAIA Children of Gaia, mired in obfuscation Will the veil ever be lifted? Or will we continue to search in the dark? We meet the truth we’ve been gifted With a skeptic’s eye and a cynical heart Who are we but the children of Gaia? Who are we but the sons and daughters of life? Make right our minds, make clear the path (Who are we, who are we?) That we may see our final task (Who are we, who are we?) Who are we but the children of Gaia? Who are we? We, the children of Gaia, surrender to the divine We must steady our hands and open our ears to end the divide What is this gospel that you preach? Who fed you lies? Who fed you the lies that you teach? The word not obscured as you claim The intent not absurd as you feign You wear the coat that bears the stain Yet you know truth, speak not its name Make right our minds, make clear the path (Who are we, who are we?) That we may see our final task (Who are we, who are we?) We, the children of Gaia, surrender to the divine We must steady our hands and open our ears to end the divide End the divide

about

Our second album wasn't really planned as such. It's just that after a while we realized we'd released half a dozen singles, so we decided to collect them. Over that two-year span, we went from being a dynamic duo to a fearsome foursome. In honor of Mike Hogan's brilliant bass and Kalypso Homan's chilling cello, we decided to call this "Low End," because we're a lot less trebly now.
